1 Reading .
If you haven’t started reading on a regular, start now. Reading will become a necessity but not necessarily second nature. It is often a huge part of the course and very few people have gotten by without reading any of the books.
Food will become a last resort when your eighteen hours into a thirty six hour study binge. Learn to cook quick, and learn now, wasting precious time on the job can lead to some dire circumstances. 3 Current Affairs Awareness
Know what’s happening in the world. I’m not saying you need to know every decision about Brexit, but make sure you know your Presidents, Prime ministers, Head of State, etc.
4 Social Media
This is my chance to scream at you if you haven’t already set up a LinkedIn Account… DO IT !
We all need a creative outlet, if not we outlet in other ways that are less productive and more problematic for the rest of the world.
Whether it’s crochet, rhythmic gymnastics or interior design. Find something you like that helps, don’t turn to books, trust me. The last thing you need after finishing a week of assignments is to open yet another book. Just don’t.
Learn how to dress. Learn how you should look.
Most Lectures at Law School are with at least a Semi Formal Dress code (Tunic and leggings for Women , chinos, shirt and no tie for Men), this doesn’t mean there won’t be days that you turn up Cookie Monster Pyjamas and a blanket your playing off as a scarf, but the effort should be given to attend Law School as you would attend work.
Hope this helps, Good Luck and all the best to all the starting classes of 2019
